FreshAuthority / Compare / Best new-authority lead services
Every service in this category rebuilds its list from the same source — FMCSA's public filings. What differs is scope, delivery time, what's bundled, and price. This page is written by FreshAuthority, so don't take our word for any of it: every price and term below is from the vendor's own public pages, checked October 30, 2026, and our own numbers are on our pricing page to check the same way.

Prices and terms below were checked on each vendor's own public pages on October 30, 2026. Vendors change pricing — verify before you buy, including ours. Volume counts differ between vendors because scope differs — grants only vs grants plus registrations or applications. In the 30 days to October 29, 2026, FreshAuthority counted 6,193 for-hire authority grants and RookieFeed counted 6,271; both are counting the same FMCSA stream with slightly different filters.
The renewal file is where your second sale lives, so insist on insurer + policy date on every row and a renewals list you can work as its own campaign. FreshAuthority and HaulerCheck both bundle renewals and lapses at every tier; Dooza leads with renewals but delivers weekly; AuthorityAlerts folds renewal windows into a digest. If morning speed matters — it should, everyone works the same carriers — compare delivery times in your timezone, not theirs.
You need grants fast, with fleet size and cargo to filter. FreshAuthority ($79 every state, ~1.3¢ per carrier) and HaulerCheck ($99, adds registration data and carrier reports) are the two daily nationwide files. RookieFeed covers the same grants at $599/mo nationwide.
AuthorityAlerts at $20/mo on their own site is the cheapest daily look at this data, with a no-card trial. You give up the 6 AM delivery, the separate renewal file, and any accuracy guarantee — a fair trade for some buyers, stated plainly.
Dooza will call your list and book quote calls ($499 per 4 weeks for up to 4 calls), and AuthorityAlerts' Outreach tier emails carriers in your name (from $499/mo). FreshAuthority doesn't do outreach for you — we sell the file, you work it. If you'd rather buy appointments than leads, those two are the honest picks.
Ask for a sample from your state and check ten rows by hand against FMCSA's public lookup: is the insurer right, does the phone ring the carrier, is the grant date real? Check whether renewals and lapses cost extra. Check the delivery time in Eastern — a file that lands at 10:30 AM reaches you after the 6 AM subscribers have already dialed. And ask what happens when the data is wrong: FreshAuthority's answer is written down — below 95% contactable, the month is free.
